The study of safety and health issues at work in order to ensure worker's safety and prevent work-related accidents or diseases. Safety and health divisions or managements provide specialized personnel to implement plans, perform surveillance, execute monitoring, and report compliance or non-compliance of standards designed within companies or enforced by national or international regulations, all in the pursuit of a safe work environment.
