Cy Twombly

Cy Twombly, also known by his birth name Edwin Parker Twombly Jr., was an American artist, best known for his graffiti-style paintings. Born on April 25, 1928, Twombly produced some of his best works in the late 1960s, characterised by the cursive "e"s (known as his blackboard paintings)and resemblance to bathroom graffiti. Twombly died on July 5, 2011 at the age of 83 in Rome.
